Belvia Lucille Shuler

Belvia W. Shuler, 74, of Sylva, passed away Wednesday July 29, 2015. Born in Clayton, Georgia January 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Stella Woods. She was preceded in death by her husband Furman Shuler. She loved quilting, cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by brothers; Jimmy, Marvin, Lewis and Bruce Woods. She is survived by her daughter- Rita McConnell (Randy) of Sylva, and her son- Lewis Ward (Karen) of Sylva; a granddaughter- Tracy Watson (Josh) of Sylva; 2 Sisters- Linda Brown of Dicks Creek and Brenda Mills of Waynesville; 3 Brothers- Thad Woods and Bucky Woods of Waynesville and Barry Woods of Sylva. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 15 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Earl Holden officiating.. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.
