Belvia Jane McMahan

Belvia Jane McMahan, age 75 of Sylva, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Mission Hospital. Jane was member of East Sylva Baptist Church and was the church organist for 41 years. Jane also served on the board for Webster Enterprises. Jane is the daughter of the late Robert M. Snyder and Carrie A. Peak Snyder. Jane is survived by her husband, Robert Stan McMahan, one son, Bobby McMahan of Sylva, one daughter, Hope McMahan Lewis of Myrtle Beach, SC, two grandchildren, Jessica Lewis and Cody McMahan as well as one great grandchild, Gray McMahan. A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Charles Dean and Reed Benson officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Gardens Cemetery. . .
