Austin Joseph Franks

Austin Joseph Franks, 29, of Sylva passed on Thursday Evening July 10, 2014. A native of Jackson County he was the son of the late Clayton Eugene Franks. He was a driller and blaster by trade for his family's business. He enjoyed living a loud exciting life. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother Clay Franks and paternal Grandfather Clifton Franks. He is survived by his mother Dana Katherine Green of Cullowhee Son- Landon Christopher Carman of Wellington, Fla. Daughter- Karma LeeAnne Franks of Sylva Sister- Monica Franks of Sylva Paternal Grandmother- Pricilla Franks of Sylva Maternal Grandparents- Joe and Ann Green of Kings Mountain, NC Niece- Wizdom Nephews- Zaiden, Eli and Jayce Several aunts and uncles also survive Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday July 16 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home Donations can be made to Appalachian Funeral Services to help with funeral arrangements.
