Anna Irene Goodwin

Anna Irene Goodwin, 70, of Sylva, passed away Thursday June 12, 2014. A native of Carlinville, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late William Burl and Loretta Goodwin. She has been a resident of Jackson County for the past 27 years. She was a Member of Covenant Christian Church and enjoyed needlework and reading, especially her Bible. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Mark Schafer and her brother Bill Goodwin. She is survived by 2 sons- Martin Adams of Sylva and Michael Schafer of Carlinville, ILL; 3 daughters- Shana Singleton of Canton, NC, Arminda Ferguson of Waynesville, NC and Lorrie Schafer of Ocklawaha, Fla.;3 brothers- Jim, Dennis and Darrell Goodwin all of Carlinville, ILL;. 1 sister- Betty Clevenger of Carlinville, ILL: 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday June 19 at Covenant Christian Church in Sylva.
