Anna Lou Deyermond, 87, of Prince Frederick, Maryland, formerly of Cullowhee, passed away peacefully on Monday September 2, 2013 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
She was the beloved wife of the late Warren H. Deyermond, loving mother of sons James and Robert and daughter, Deanna Hancock and husband Steve. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kelly Deyermond, Theresa Hancock, Katie Deyermond, Michelle Gamber and husband Steve, and Robbie Deyermond: and six great-grandchildren, Devin, Harley, Ryley, Derek, Melissa and Adriana, all of Southern MD. She was also preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Bonnie Stephens Norton.
Upon retiring from C&P and AT&T telephone companies as an operator for 25 years. She and Warren moved back to her place of birth in Jackson County, NC. Following Warren’s passing; she resided for the last 10 years at the Chapline House in Prince Frederick and leaves many good friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 14, 2013 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Jeffrey and Tonya Vickery officiating. The Family will receive friends one hour prior the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Gardens.
