The best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and role model, Ann Sutton Morgan Snyder received her wings October 25th, 2018. She has been an inspiration to all that had the privilege of knowing her and will be greatly missed.
Born in Dillsboro, NC on January 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Julius Leon and Rose Lee Hensley Sutton. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Loren Wilburn Snyder. She also was preceded in death by children Nettie and Wylie Morgan, son-in-law Wayne Sims; her brothers, J.L., Clint, Bobby, Winfred (Fred), Medford (Ted); her sisters, Lucy Buchanan, Mary Wylie, Betty Sutton and Lula Edna Sutton; half-brothers, Dewey, Edgar, Ossie, Avery, C.B. and Grover Sutton; half-sisters, Essie Sutton, Bessie Sutton, Naomi Riddle, Lillie Mae Sherrill, Mabel Greene, Mildred Cooper, and Beulah Bost.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Sims, and son, Bill Snyder; daughter-in-law, Terrie Childers; grandchildren, Sherri Poteet (Rob), Jon Snyder (Cherie), Tomalina Coggins (Terry); great-grandchildren, Hannah, Todd, Mackenzie Ann, Hayley, Julya, Curren and Colbie. Special nephews; Tom Gentry, Danny Sutton as well as numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday October 28 at Locust Field Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Buchanan officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
