Alicia Jean Norton

Alicia Jean Norton, 39, a person of kind faith who always helped those in need, passed away on Thursday, April 25th.

Ms. Norton was born in Sylva, NC on August 21, 1979 to Edwin Norton. She lived in many places in the US. She eventually returned to Sylva to start a family. She earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Haywood Community College and volunteered a lot of her time helping others.

She is predeceased by her grandmother, Marian Norton, who she loved very much. She is survived by her children Nathaniel and Kaitlyn Jones, their father, Daniel Jones, Grandfather Edwin T. Norton and her father Edwin L. Norton.

It is with great sorrow we say goodbye to Alicia. She lived a life full of ups and downs but would always stop to help her friends and others in need. She has left this world far too early and many will miss her.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am May 18, 2019 at Appalachian Funeral Services on Skyland Drive in Sylva. All are welcome to attend.
