David Luker

David Luker, 66, of Tuckaseegee passed away Friday, October 4, 2019. He is the son of Allen Luker and Lillie Mae (Brown) Luker. He is survived by his wife Peggy Luker. David was in the construction industry and he helped build the infrastructure in and around Jackson County. David was also an avid deer hunter. 

In addtion to his wife he is survived by two sons, Donnie and Bobby Luker; 13 grand children, McKinley, Eli, Blakelyn, Justin, Joseph, Jaylyn, Shaylyn, Abby, Haley, Callie, Tylee, Tanner and Josiah; two great grand children Dawson and Jaxion; five brothers Thurman, Leamon, James, Elmer and Wallace Luker; and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

He is preceded in death by three sisters Virgina Jones, Alene Teague and Lucille Crawford. 

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 8th 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Jason Bryson and Rev. Doc Luker officiating. The family will recieve friends from 1:00 - 2:00pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Shook Cemetery.
