Brenda Gail Cagle

Brenda Derrick Cagle, 69, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord and join her husband Dan and her hero, her father; Penny Derrick, Wednesday November 21, 2018. A native of Haywood County, she graduated from Tuscola High School and then attended nursing school at Southwestern Community College. She enjoyed metal detecting and making crafts, silver jewelry and soaps. She was a member of the Dogwood Crafters as well as the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She is survived by her mother- Dorothy L. Brooks Derrick of Waynesville, NC Sister- Doreen Derrick (Sam) Jones of Chester, SC Niece- Misty (Allen) Ball of Myrtle Beach, SC Great niece- Allia, Great nephew- Cameron As well as many cousins also survive Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday November 26 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00 Sunday evening, November 25, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gunter Cemetery in Whittier, NC.
