Biography
Oberia Owen Lewis, age 84, of Sylva died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Med West Harris in Sylva, NC. Mrs. Lewis was born April 21, 1927 in Jackson County, NC. She is the daughter of the late Andrew Vess and Mae (Shelton) Owen. She was preceded in death by her husband T.C. Lewis and one son Mike Lewis and 6 Brothers and one sister.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son Tim Lewis of Sylva one brother Gerald Owen of Sylva and one sister Alma Robinson of Sylva. four grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Appalachian Funeral Services. A Graveside will follow at 2:00P.M. in Fairview Gardens with the Rev.
