Biography
Frankie Gates Roberts, 78, passed away Saturday Evening January 21, 2012 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Edna( Sutton ) Gates. She worked in the dietary department at several different nursing homes. She loved to cook and always wanted people who stopped by to sit down and eat. She was also preceded in death by her husband Cyrus A. Roberts and a brother Millard Gates.
She is survived by
3 Sons- Wayne Roberts of Monroe, NC
Steve ( Beth ) Roberts of Lancaster, SC
Mike ( Janice ) Roberts of Greensboro, NC
2 Daughters- Linda Tasker of Biloxi, MS
Pam ( Bill ) Vallee of Evansville, Ind.
3 Brothers- Harold Gates, Gary Gates and Bill Gates
5 Sisters- Margaret Dietz, Betty Jones, Carolyn Hoyle, Phyliss Stiwinter and Hilda Sellers
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Charles Dean officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Savannah Cemetery.
