Donald Duane Kinsland 78 of Whittier died Monday at Med West Harris. He was a native of Jackson and the son of the late Taft and Beulah Kinsland. He was preceded in death by one brother Joe Kinsland. Mr. Kinsland was a self employed business man and retired from the US Postal Service .A veteran of the US Army. He was a member and deacon of the Shoal Creek Baptist Church and a trustee of the Thomas Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Vivadean Ferguson Kinsland of the home. One son Randy Kinsland of Whittier, two daughters Janet Burnette of Arden and Karen Westmoreland of Waynesville. One Sister Reva Bowers of Whittier and 4 Grand Daughters Laura Kinsland Tatham, Hannah Burnette, Olivia Westmoreland and Ava Westmoreland. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday January 19, 2012 in the Shoal Creek Baptist Church with the Rev Steve Jamison and Ray Kinsalnd officiating. The Burial will follow in Sherrill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday January 18, 2012 at Appalachian Funeral Services.
