Dr. William Charles Lovett, age 66, of Sylva died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at home in Sylva. Mr. Lovett was born August 18, 1945 in Miami, FL. He is the son of the late William B. and Marion Brown Lovett. Mr. Lovett was a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Medicine and was in general practice of medicine in Venice, FL. After retiring he moved to Sylva and loved fishing and gardening..

He is survived by his wife: George-Anna(Carter) Lovett of Sylva four sons William Gerald Lovett, Elijah Boston, Justin Lovett and Michael Lovett a daughter Channing Lovett one sister Robin Sarantos of Miami, FL
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
Appalachian Funeral Services is assisting the family.

Dr. Lovett was my physician for 20+ years in Venice. He was a wonderful caring doctor and fine human being. He worked long hours and cared for so many people in the Venice area. When he retired, his patients were saddened to see him leave his practice and the area. I am sorry that he didn't have more time to enjoy his well-earned retirement. May the Lord give him the peace he so richly deserves. May the Lord also bless and console his family, whom he loved very much. He also loved his labrador retrievers!
