Biography
Thomas Glen Cabe, 83, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Memorial Mission in Asheville, NC. Mr. Cabe was born June 21, 1928 in Sylva, NC. He is the son of the late James Edgar and Alberta (Rhinehart) Cabe. He was preceded in death by one sister and one grandson. .
He was Veteran of the United States Military. He was a retired Equipment Operator.
He is survived by his wife: Ollie(Estes) Cabe , one daughter: Cynthia Martin of Lyles, TN and one son: Thomas C. Cabe of Cullowhee, NC. Three sisters: Brittie Duncan of Spruce Pine, NC, Ann Ferguson of Charlotte, NC, Shirley Spence of Matthews, NC and one brother: Charles Edgar Cabe of Sylva, NC; three grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday January 5, in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Service with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Savannah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Glen was my aunt Olie's husband. I would see him once a year when we traveled with my mother from Michigan to visit her family. We would get to visit with Glen and Olie during that time. He was always kind and fun to talk with. I will miss him. Take good care of him dear God.
