Biography
Shirley Ann Anthony Tadlock, 61, passed away Wednesday December 14, 2011. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late John P. and Hazel Cook Anthony She was a very loving and adored, stay at home mom and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Tadlock
2 Daughters- Melissa Keefer and her husband Chuck of Whittier
Keniethea Clough and her husband Donnie of Bryson City
1 Son- Bryan Tadlock of Whittier
2 Brothers- Curt Anthony of Bryson City
Kenny Cook of Oregon
1 Sister- Lethea Styles of Whittier
9 grandchildren also survive
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church. In lieu of flowers you can make donations to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 251 Silvermine Branch Rd., Bryson City, NC 28713. An online registry is available at appalachianfuneralservices.com

My deepest sympathy to the family. I was the nurse that called Shirley the past few months to review her medicines and diabetes and diet, etc. She was a delight to talk too. I'm sure she will be missed by all. May God bless you all during this time of grief.

Dear Family,
Shirley was such a joy to serve as a customer at the Post Office. I also considered her as a friend. All of you became such good friends. I know Shirley will be sorely missed. I pray that God will fill the void for you as only He can. Spend the time together during this difficult time remembering her and all of you together. She was a Joy to know.

The earth has lost a wonderful person and heaven has gained an angel. She and I worked together at Mountain View Manor Nursing center many years ago. She was a dear friend and will be missed by all who loved her. May God be with the family in this low hour.

What a beautiful, strong, and courageous woman. It was an honor to have been able to meet and care for her. Prayers and love to her family in this difficult time.
