Biography

Eulas W. Bumgarner, age 78, of 77 Banner Lane, Cullowhee died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Harris Regional Hospital of Sylva, NC. Mr. Bumgarner was born February 19, 1932 in Cullowhee, NC. He is the son of the late Roy and Mable (Ashe) Bumgarner. He was married to the late Lucille Phillips Bumgarner He was Retired from Facility Management at WCU
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Watson of Cullowhee, one son, Roy Eugene Bumgarner of Petersburg, VA., two sisters, Doris Ammons and Thelma Dills, both of Cullowhee, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Wayne Bumgarner, three brothers, James Bumgarner, Edward Bumgarner, Kenneth Bumgarner, a sister, Addie Morton, and a great granddaughter.
The Family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm Sunday July 25, at Appalachian Funeral Services. The service will follow at 2 pm. in the chapel with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell
and the Rev. Verlin Bryson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steven Bumgarner, Carroll Broom, Jimmy Claybo, Mitchell Watson, Nick Henry, and Wayne Morton. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Fisher, Lane Hooper, and Bill Dills.
